Puri Beach Festival

The Puri Beach Festival is a unique event and first of its kind in the eastern part of India organized by the Hotel Association of Puri. Earlier the Hotel & Restaurant Association of Orissa (HRAO) in association with the HAP had been organizing this festival since last 13 years. The Hotel Association of Puri took over the responsibility of being the host and carried forward this event from the 14th year. With great enthusiasm and dedication the members of HAP made it an international event with the participation of artists / cultural troupes from foreign countries directly and under the aegis of ICCR, New Delhi.

The Puri beach festival is schedule to be held from 23rd to 29th November, every year on the golden sands of the famous Puri Beach in Odisha against the back drop of the vast blue expanse of the Bay of Bengal. Puri beach festival is dedicated at the lotus feet of Sri Sri Jagannath, the Lord of Universe who is the embodiment of equality, fraternity and unity irrespective of religion, cast, creed, language and faith. After the traditional Rath Yatra, the car festival held in the month of June / July which draws draws more than 10 lakhs devotees, the Puri Beach Festival attracts lakhs of visitors to enjoy the beautiful golden beach, see and purchase the exquisite handicrafts and handloom products and witness the cultural programme by a galaxy of artistes of national and international repute from inside the country and abroad.
